Medical Consultant For Laser Treatments For Short Sight, Long Sight and also Lasik.

Introduction

We believe that our customers should not take the Lasik operation, or any treatments on the eye lightly. They should have the chance to seek the independent professional opinion from an ophthalmologist who can discuss all the pros and cons of the operation, show them a video of the Lasik operation and discuss all the possible complications, in a calm clinic atmosphere.

We offer an independent service providing impartial advice prior to you booking a consultation with a commercial clinic. We can advise on the fees and success rates of various clinics, and our Ophthalmologist, Dr Rao, will offer his personal opinion.

Dr Rao has 6 years experience in Laser Treatment and has performed over 2000 PRK operations for long sight, short sight and astigmatism at Ultralase/Optimax Laser Eye Clinics.

Advice can be provided either by post or e-mail or by direct consultation at our centre. A non-refundable fee, currently £30 is payable in advance, either by cheque or credit card (please phone or email your credit card details).

We can book appointments direct to a Laser Eye Clinic in London. You also have the option of pre and post-operative check-ups at our Bourne centre, so that local patients need make only one journey to the Laser centre.

Post-Operative Check-Ups

We also offer post-operative check-ups for PRK and Lasik patients. Check-ups are carried out at our centre in Bourne, Lincolnshire. A fee, currently £30 is payable for each check-up.

First Treatment Hailed A Success

The benefits of Laser Treatment were clear for everyone to see at our centre when the first of our patients to have laser treatment organised by Dr. Rao, Mrs Sharon Elliot (right) from Heckington returned to the centre just 24 hours after her operation with her vision drastically improved. Prior to the operation, she could "only count fingers without her glasses on," 24 hours later she was fit to drive without any glasses at all. The local press ran the story and Mrs Elliot said she was "delighted with the results."

The following two patients have also benefitted from the expert medical advice of Dr Rao, who booked their treatments after a pre-operative consultation at our Bourne practice. Their visions are 6/6 in each eye without any correction and their pre-operative short sight was -6.00 and -4.00.

Both Miss Claire Lightbody (above) and Mrs Jane Stanhope (right) are delighted with their treatments and thanked Dr Rao for his help and knowledge of different surgeons who could deliver good results. From our centre we book our patients under only two known surgeons, with good success rates, unlike other places where the booking is done according to availability.
